Zalando was celebrating its 10-year anniversary. For this, they wanted to create momentum to generate brand love & install itself as the #1 starting point for fashion & beauty in Belgium. With this campaign, they wanted to celebrate the Belgian as well. Belgians are the world champion in modesty. Some say this is linked to our history of constantly being overruled by others. But whether it’s in the history books, on the football pitch, or on Twitter, we love being the underdog. So Zalando and the agency Mortierbrigade thought celebrating Zalando’s 10th anniversary would be the perfect moment to celebrate all proud little Belgians just being themselves. No better way than to use the song Jaime la vie, from Sara Kim (with this song, she won the Eurosong festival in 1986). We made a new version of the song, especially for this campaign. It’s a remix celebrating today’s Belgian youth and touching the heart. This campaign is an ode to being yourself. In the cast, we see several influencers and the singer of the band Oscar and the Wolf as the main character.
