ENTERTAINMENT THAT CUTS THROUGH THE LONELINESS

Whoever said watching television is a lonely pursuit is wrong. Jef Boes, director at ILA, reminds us of the power entertainment holds to cut through the loneliness of everyday life in his new commercial for Ziggo. The campaign reveals it to help ease the need to connect with others, as well as facilitate that connection. It portrays all the emotions you can experience from the wide entertainment selection of Ziggo, accompanied by the iconic song of Ramses Shaffy: sing, fight, cry, pray, laugh, work, and admire.

Laura van Gestel, director of marketing communications at Vodafone Ziggo says:

“The most fantastic moments are those when you really feel something. And if entertainment does one thing, it triggers emotions. We see that beautifully portrayed in this campaign: all the emotions you can experience thanks to our wide range of entertainment are passing by. From laughter and tears to amazement and wonder. Accompanied by the timeless song of one of the Netherlands’ greatest entertainers.”

Laura van Gestel

The campaign is made in collaboration with advertising agency Ogilvy and production company Media Monks and is one of Jef Boes’ biggest ones to date in the Netherlands.
