Photographer and director Lennert Madou is a true aesthete with a distinct visual language. His work combines painterly composition with a contrasting sense of freshness, resulting in images that feel both timeless and modern.
Art direction is central to his process, with each element carefully composed into a unified narrative. In post-production, he refines shapes and layers textures to reach a playful and elegant balance.
Lennert has collaborated with brands including Ann Demeulemeester, Adidas Originals, AVAVAV, Christian Wijnants, Natan, Ashi, and Eastpak. His editorial work has appeared in publications such as Numéro, Wallpaper, and Hube Magazine.
Beyond photography, Lennert continues to expand his work as a director. His short film Upper (2024) was part of the official selection at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival and won the Ensor for Best Short Film. His debut High Jump (2021) received a Jury Award at Palm Springs ShortFest. He also directs music videos for artists such as Tsar B and Sylvie Kreusch.
