Without defines a way of working stripped to essentials: without big teams, without significant means, and without excessive attributes. It is not a production of abundance but a conversation between photographer and subject, where each component is deliberate and charged with meaning. The book questions cultural constructions of female identity through photography, confronting the tensions between emancipation and commerce, agency and objectification, singularity and multiplicity. Minimal interventions and archetypal attributes transform the body into shifting personas, while ambiguity resists categorisation and insists on complexity. Identity remains fluid, multilayered, and irreducible to a single image, —opening fashion photography to a space of exploration and possibility.
